James C. Conner
JAMES C. CONNER, 71, of Toby Twp., Rimersburg, Pa. passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 3:20 PM at Shippenville Healthcare Center following a period of declining health.
Born in Knox, Pa. on May 4, 1948, he was the son of Carroll W. Conner of Rimersburg who survives, and the late Mary Lou Adams Conner.
He was employed most of his adult life as a heavy equipment operator, and was retired from PennDot.
Jim was protestant by faith.
An avid hunter, he was a member of the Turkey Federation and the North American Hunting Club. In addition to hunting, Jim thoroughly enjoyed all types of gardening.
In addition to his father and step-mother Norma, he is survived by his daughter Karen F. (James) McClune of Strattenville and a son Bryan S. (Patty Weiss) of Queenstown-Karns City, Pa. Also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by brother Rick Conner of Rimersburg and sisters Laurie (Scott) Stittg of Sligo and Marcy (Rick) Custer of Rimersburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his late Mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrol Nicholson Conner whom he married May 4, 1965 and who passed away December 30, 2018.
Friends and relatives may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Switzer, his pastor and friend, officiating. Interment will be at 9:30 AM Monday at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Conneration.
